The Irie out of AZ is taking it sweet and slow with a mist-scorching sunshine rhythm for the dog days of August and a best friend sitting shotgun in their new tune “Turn Me Up” feat. The Elovaters.

Hang with the boys of The Irie? Yes, please. Based off the new wickedly vivacious video by the band, a night with them is anything but ordinary. Waking up all over the floor (and Johnny even on the furniture), The Irie comes to after a long night of partying with babes... at least, from what they can recall.

Here's a weird coincidence: Can't Get Enough, the latest EP from Valley reggae band The Irie, debuted at No. 1 the same weekend that would have been Bob Marley's 76th birthday. Does this dash of serendipity bode well for the future of the band? Hard to say, but there's no denying their four-track effort isn't still hugely entertaining. Case in point: "Never Alone," a deeply sentimental, doubly endearing ballad that also happens to be a light and breezy slice of pure island-style reggae. Maybe Tuff Gong himself would have approved.

“This track delivers a nice summer vibe. ‘Turn Me Up’ brings a Reggae sound along with a Pop like vibe that simply feels like the combination of sunshine on your face, and cold beer on your hand. The vocal groove is one that is easy to fall into, and the beat carries you along without effort.”

The Irie is a local act with a message that should be heard by the whole wide world. This is, after all, the age of self-care and learning to love yourself before you can love anybody else. “Toxic Love” addresses exactly those topics in The Irie’s classic chill reggae-inspired style.
